Coronavirus Pandemic Increases Work At Home (WAH) Opportunities

The coronavirus pandemic started in China.  It landed in other countries prior to spreading rapidly in the United States.  This gave the U.S. time to prepare for the worst, well somewhat.  The one thing that we discovered from watching other countries deal with the virus; is staying quarantined appears to be a remedy in controlling the spread of it.

Ironically, working at home has been rising to a higher level each year, as more and more employers capitalize on the benefits to lower overhead and increase employee satisfaction; the coronavirus has also pushed more employers to use this as an option for getting work done.  Have you ever seen so many companies closed to the public during any time in your history?  In addition, so many people stayed at home while being forced not to work.  While coronavirus is a sad occurrence, we have no control over it, and finding solutions to get work done is important.

If you have always worked at home, or if you just started working at home, hopefully you will discover the benefits of it, including: an increased quality of life; no commute; save on auto fuel; less money spent on work attire; save money on lunch; less exposure to coworkers while they are sick; your own bathroom; less politics; and less opportunities for coworkers to create negative energy towards you.  There are so many good reasons to work at home.

Of course, with every thing in life, there are cons as well.  If you are social, you may miss being in the office with others.  Also, if you have a hard time staying focused, you may be challenged while working at home.  However, if you review the pros against the cons, they clearly outnumber the downside.  When you compare the reality and impact of the coronavirus, the greatest benefit of working at home, is that you are already self-quarantined and your exposure is limited.

Working at home is a great benefit.  Keep reading our blog in the near future, as we will hold various events to create a community of Work At Home employees.
